Is it Possible to Cancel Pay Month Contact with Vodafone

my father wants to cancel his vodafone pay month bill he has about 6 months left on it and wants to down grade to ready to go. is this possible? i heard somewhere you can but you need to pay the line rental until the end of the term..

I just cancelled my vodafone contract, but I only had approx 5 weeks left to go! They said you are liable for €20 per month termination charges if you migrate to RTG, although I think you pay one month in advance at the beginning so effectivly in his case he would be liable then for 5x€20 termination charges ...He's best off ringing them though to be sure.
