I ask you if psychotherapy has its uses, aware the words
'unbalanced' and 'unhinged' have crept into the room unannounced,
with great fanfare; hanging on your reaction like
elephants in white coats defiant in the corner

But is it really my problems that need a professional
task force of fierce introspection,
or is there a definite case to be made
for couples' therapy?

How many people, exactly, can you fit on a reclining couch?

Is getting an analyst simply a catalyst
for further futile rumination,
self-serving self-incrimination,
or a desperate, last-ditch attempt
to feel comfortable talking about myself?
