There were some typical Boards moments, it has to be said, like when I settled down to wait with my pint and paper and was approached by a girl, which doesn't happen too often to Dahamsta I can tell you. That turned out to be Dizzyblabla, which threw me for a minute because I hadn't realised Dizzyblabla was of the female persuasion. She then proceeded to show me photos of her recent holiday on her digicam, which ranks right up there on Boards Moments.

I think JohnK came in next, followed closely by Fysh, at which point Fysh, myself and Dizzyblabla all got up and went for a fag. This left JohnK on his tod, which seemed kind of harsh given that JohnK had told us he was just going to sit in a corner and watch over proceedings. (This was a complete fabrication btw.) I mentioned this outside and we all agreed it was a tad rude, but nobody volunteered to go in. People are cruel.

At one point I noticed someone kind of overseeing proceedings, and when I went to the bar they asked if I was me, and introduced himself after some real-name-or-handle confusion as (I think) Memnoch. We had a short what-do-you-do-on-boards convo, I picked up my drink, and he got up and walked out, which was bizarre. Next time come over Memnoch, I don't usually smell that bad! :)

aarrgghhh!!! flashback!! and as far as I remember (that was early on in the night) I went back into JohnK cause I felt bad that he was in there on his own!

and also, if my holiday pics were that bad, you should have just told me! you had your cam out too showing me pictures of the courthouse!

Was there really only 4 of us? ooh ya, that German you're-all-too-loud guy wasn't Boards, was he?! so there was only 5? ha! it feels like there was more!

it was a good night anyway though!

Not before finishing your fag you didn't! :)
if my holiday pics were that bad
    Who said they were bad?
you should have just told me
Believe me, I'd've told you. I'm renowned for that sort of thing. Under "obnoxious" in the dictionary it says "see adam".
you had your cam out too
    Filthy. (See?)
showing me pictures of the courthouse!
Picture. Unfortunately the larger image was awful. I have to go and take another one, see if I can get it on Wikipedia. (The City Hall one is mine.)

Kind of, with disdain. Can never rem his handle though.
so there was only 5? ha! it feels like there was more!
Donncadh from CLUG was there too, and I think there were one or two others later on.
it was a good night anyway though!
    I enjoyed meself anyway.

It's a fair walk from the south of the city, and I'm pretty sure that's why some people are lax to go there.

How about the tower pub on tower street? They've a nice beer garden and the beer is cheap. Or anywhere else, other than the Franciscan (I really dislike the place)

The problem with beer gardens is that if it happens to be raining that day, we'll be complaining that we didn't meet in the Phoenix after all, because the Tower is an absolute dump inside, and the interior of the Well has about as inviting as a slaughterhouse. That being said, at least the Well BG is covered.
