Warning - Cambelts 'time limits' !

    Just a warning re cambelts.

    I was reading on a UK forum that you should not necessarily wait until your car reaches it recommended mileage before changing it's cambelt.

    Say if you do a low annual mileage, then your car may not reach it's recommended mileage (i.e. when a belt change is required) for 5,6,7...years.

    Thats a lot of time for a cambelt to deteriorate ! ........it's only made rubber after all. (Note how tyres can crack, etc over time)

    Just something to bear in mind.
