This site is intresting. It will translate words on a site into a popup. Its not for straight out translation of a site but instead an easier way to do a dictionary lookup. It will also create a matching game for you off the site to help you learn.

Reminded myself of this site in another post:

    www.antimoon.com

Research on efficient language-learning methods, and interesting insights into why most common methods of teaching and learning languages are not up to scratch. The research was done from the perspective of learning English, but the results are applicable to any language.

i did french in school and spanish more recently. id definitely say spanish is easier than french. what i like about spanish is that the words are always pronounced as they are spelt so once you grasp how to pronounce the letters its not too hard to figure out how to pronounce the words. also i found that french had way too much focus on accent where as spanish is more relaxed about that sort of thing.

    Hi People,
I am looking for resources to use to teach english to Italians, in group or one to one settings, to a high standard of proficiency and through Italian.
I am especially interested in good course materials for business people etc.
What do people charge for classes? I do not have a TEFL or Cambridge qualification but do have a Masters in Androgogy ( How adults learn )

I'm not sure if this is the right place to pose this question, so please let me know if it's not and I will take appropriate measures:

Do you know the 'translations' section of the Wiktionary? Take a look at this one, for example: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/soul#Translations . And the 'derived terms' part? They both help me much when learning vocabulary, yet they stop being so comprehensive once we get into less common words...

So, do you happen to know a place fitter for that way of language learning? 'Twill be much appreciated!

(And thanks in advance, of course.)

I started using the Memrise App and Website this week, and I find it excellent. The memory tasks are actually addictive - haven't felt like this since Tetris on the GameBoy!

I'm using it to revise Portuguese and also learn the Arabic alphabet. Here's their description from their Facebook page, but I'd recommend you to try it out for yourself.

It's free, although you can get extra features if you pay a subscription fee.
    Short Description

www.memrise.com Memrise embeds knowledge in people's minds quicker, more intuitively and with more lasting effect than any other learning tool. Our software combines ancient memory techniques with the latest cognitive and computer science.

    www.memrise.com

    Mission

Memrise is reinventing the way people learn. We want to make learning as easy and fun as it can be, using the best technology and science around. We want to take learning out of the classroom and turn it into play.

Our dream is for Memrise to be a self-generating hub of imaginative learning that improves and expands with the people who use it. Until then, we're working hard to make it better every day.

    Mango:
This language course looks to be freely available if you have an Irish Library account. Found it from following a link from my local library. Official site is at : https://mangolanguages.com/
