Eh, is there not a law where you can't actually work until you're 15, unless it's for a family run business? And anyway. Damn girlfriends! You're too young to be gettin married just yet ;)

Yeah, it's really gay. REALLY gay. Probably not gonna have much luck since you're 14 though

roysh, this is how it ish. As above, you must work in a family business, LEGALLY. Alternatively, like, you can forge your birth cert. Scan and change it. Go to some leisure plex job, they are easy.. like. hopefully you can then buy ur drum kit. right.

yeah I s'pose, I did work for a shop across the road from me but they had to get rid of me cause some chap cut a girls face open with the lid of a bin, so with solicitors and what not around, a 13 year old kid working there wouldn't exactly be help to them

    Don't bother working, it's gay!

Get a job at Tescos or Londis or something. The pay is crap (what else would you be expecting at 14) but they turn a blind eye to age or so I've been told.

Try getting a job as a kitchen porter in a hotel or something. Nice behind the scenes work, bit of a no-brainer too and, most important, you don't have to deal with customers. Money might be pants though :(

yeah there royal quires when it comes to video shops, thats were I worked, its great, but I was ilegally hired..heehee

Surely you would have to be at least 18 to work in a video shop as you would handling goods deemed for over 18 only.

yeah you do, hence the term "illegal" comes in, I wasn't selling anything or renting vids and what not, they did that part of it, I had to clean up and sort stuff in the "vault" as its called

I've no idea about the laws relating to employment but maybe the fact that lots of them have off-licences in them? Either that or something like they got insurance that won't cover under-18s working there... Just do what I do when I want money - gamble! Cheltenham bought me a guitar and amp among other things :D

Get a job in Dunnes, they pay ridiculously well for shelf stacking. I think the hours are very flexible too.

Get a job as a bottle boy in some pub or something.

Again, the pay might be crap, but you don't have any bills or anything to pay, and it'll be a LOT more than what you're getting at the moment :)
