many people here get stuff from this site? are they any good? do they take long to deliver? + other questions along those lines that i can't think of now

I got some stuff from them not so long ago, and I found them grand. Delivery took about a week, but many people had issues with the fact that they wanted a photocopy of the creditcard itself before they'd authorize any large purchases. That hasn't happened when I was ordering, but could be more than a bit offputting.

i wouldn't be put off by that. a lot a sites are doing that now. the last 2 sites that done that with large orders i got were the metallica site and pixmania.com. i suppose its safer for them

it is common practice for a german company to ask for a photo copy of the credit card.

when i was ordering they also wanted a photocopy of a credit card statement.

I've had a few dealings with Thomann. Some good, some not so good. Decent enough site imo.

They lost it apparently. It was sent out the 22nd of Jan.

i've gotten a ton of stuff from them and never any hassle.. but i wouldn't send them anything except the standard credit card details.. **** that!!!

Asking for a photocopy of a credit card statement seems very dodgy. I wouldnt do it myself. Even if its standard practice in Germany.

There's no reason for it tbh. That's why there's the security code on the back of the card. Just ordered from guitarbargains.com and they had a proper credit card checking system in place.

I've ordered form them a few times without any bother. The credit card thing only comes into effect on orders over about five hundred from what I can gather.

try these guys as well http://www.musicstorekoeln.de - bought an amp off them last year and things went smooth enough. They even have an irish representative you can deal with.

i got my amp off thomann and it was over 1000 euro ...they never asked me for anymore details than the standard
