    Fireworks is closed.

    Barcode is also crap.

I agree with jimi_t, the redbox is the worst place i've ever been to, there is not nearly enough people behind the bar to serve the amount of people it holds, you'll be there for ages tring to get a drink, and then the drink is just plain s**t.

    Club M
    Redbox
    K3
    Bad Bobs
    Boomerang

    all pure muck.

    Tamangos.

    The place smells like vomit.

    The carpet is sticky.

Something I don't like about bobs.

On the passsport issue I think you should cut the bouncer some slack, he probably wasn't sure it was you. He was prepared to let you in(they don't ask for ID if they want rid of ya, just say "not tonight" etc) just the ID wasn't suitable.

If you had a student card with a matching photo of you in your current appearence and he still wouldn't let you in, then he's a c*nt. If not then he's just doing his job.

Q bar is a nightmare on a saturday nite, so is Copper Face Jacks. The worst has to be The Trinity Arch- went there once, never again! Actually i hate going out in town, fed up with paying for over-priced pints, a 90 min Nitelink journey home and all the drunken yobs starting fights for no reason, prefer to go out to my local

boomerangs is the worst niteclub i've ever been in

Dundalk Rugby Club has a sort of 'night club' running at the weekends. Well, it's an unprofessionally run disco to be more exact. Worst night club I've ever been in. Pales into insignificance compared with the likes of the better night spots around here like Amber or Laceys.

The offical worse nightclub in ireland in the Vortex in dunshaughlin Co.meath
Its really bad and really smells. Also its not recommended to pull there unless you want an STD.

jaysus, tell me the vortex isnt still open, remember getting stranded at a hawaiian theme night there about 4 years ago. scariest night of my life. something tells me, the sexy girls on the island dont wear sovereigns. they dont go well with grass skirts anyway.

In town the worst has got to be coyote, seriously bad place.

Then outside of town for me anyway its a toss up between Anabel's (could be just me that hates this place) on the southside and K2 on the northside.

Worst niteclub in Dublin, dunno, haven't been out in Dub in quite a while, but it would have to have been Club M I guess. What a complete cattle mart.

Worst club in Limerick though, probably The Works (or is it spelled Worx?). Anyway, it was a knackerhole five years ago when I went there twice and aparantly it's still opened these days, and still a hole.

Though music wise, I'd say the Sin Bin is the worst. They play nothing but shight music down there.

On the whole passport issue, do people actually bring their passport to pubs/clubs with them? I think this is possibly the stupidest thing you could do with such an important and valuable document. I have never brought my passport out with me. If I get stopped for ID now I'll simply leave as I don't carry any form of picture ID on me anymore, and haven't for about four or five years. At 28 years old I don't see the need to carry ID to prove I'm over 18.

Jesus I hate this thread. And I hate it whenever it comes up.

If you let it run long enough, every club ever will get listed.

Vary true. I think a more interesting topic would be BEST nightclub in town. (Although at this stage id settle for HALF-DECENT nightclub)

Is Mono now 'the Village'? anyway worst places ever = anabels, absolute hole (give up Julian it's had it's day in the sun), and any place owned by the Capital Bars group(coyote, tramCo,savanah),

Well technically this isn't a niteclub but...

Capitol Bar at the top of Georges Street.

I ****ed the ex-girlfriend of a doorman there (I didn't know her history) so they were looking for any excuse to ban me from the place. One night a friend of mine was drunk and they kicked him out. Well, now they won't let me back in the place, even though I was probably their best customer (spending lots of €€ and introducing lot of people to the place.)

    Petty fools.

no they're not. Its a legal document.
If they feel its false they should report it as its a criminal offence.

If you have witnesses then you may have a case.
It's a criminal offence to carry your passport as ID

The Trinity Arch, I used to love going into that place tripping, it was so much fun laughing at all the knackers and spas. The last time I accidently spoke too loud and a guy overheard me poining out the state of his gay jumper to a mate. He Confronted me and I couldn't lie so I just told him what I thought. He just backed off. And Knightsbridge, another absolute kip my old boss made me go to once. It was one of his favourite places, he also loved Celine Dion and Kylie Minogue's music. Went to K2 once and never will again.

It's something to do with it being an important document that belongs to the government and you have to look after it. Not take it out on the piss with you

yea i'd heard that before alright.

on the topic of shítty nightclubs......its not in town but one of the worst has to be in Balbriggan.....previously The Rig, then Life and now Home!!! woeful!
€10 in and full of tossers (except Trigger of course!)
also they call it Home, Dublin........having been in Home, Sydney it certainly pales in comparison.

oh and also theres another shítty one in Skerries...used to be called Shenanigans (Shags) think its called Ocean or something ridiculous now......its fúcking tiny and full of kiddies and knackers that cant get in anywhere else.

give me a late bar with a band or DJ anyday.

hang on a criminal offence? criminal? that can't be true - when I applied for my age card and said i really needed it in two months the guard in the station said "do ya not have a passport?" if its a criminal offence surely he wouldn't have said that.

Every night club would surely be shut down for harboring criminals? maybe it's an offence along the lines of not bringing a library book back on time!?
