Masking tape ?

What's the deal with masking tape ? I can never get a sharp straight line when painting. I even tried that blue "Professional" tape & the same thing happened. There's either some "bleed" of paint under the tape, or else then taking the tape off no matter how careful I am it lifts some of the paint underneath it or the…

There's either some "bleed" of paint under the tape, or else then taking the tape off no matter how careful I am it lifts some of the paint underneath it or the paint that's just gone on because there's a "skin" formed on the fresh stuff.

Anyone any tips or recommendations (apart from get someone else to do it?)

get low tack tape or run a stanley blade along it
