AVG - Unknown Publisher?

When I try to install AVG 7.0 I keep getting this -

The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?

Publisher: Unknown Publisher

Surely AVG is a known publisher??

We have AVG 6.0, and I have followed the advice about adding exceptions to the Windows Firewall (although I couldn't find one of the four files they were talking about - avgemc.exe).

Would be grateful for any advice.

are you downloading it from the avg site or just updating from the control center? Wouldnt be too worried about the security warning, especially from IE which itself is full of security holes

. If its from the avg site, then i think you are safe enough.

Everything but Microsoft products and spyware are probably unknown publishers.

Its safe, go ahead and download AVG. Why your at it you migth want to look at getting firefox too.

Thanks Ruu and Winters, I went ahead and installed it and everything seemed fine until...

the !"£$* thing keeps restarting itself. has only been happening recently and I can't remember if the first time was before I installed AVG 7.0 or not.

again would be grateful for advice.
