    Hi all

Just wondering do any of you know if there are any shops in Ireland that service snowboards. Or even sell them besides the great outdoors.

Thinking of going into business with a friend of mine who is setting up an extreme sports shop. He will most likely be selling snowboard, ski, surf, skate and motorcross gear. Hes also going to provide a repair and maintance serivce for snowboard gear.

Any views? Not sure if there is much of a market here

i don;t know of any that do snowboards besides GO, and even their range is limited. problem is that there's not a big enuff demand to warrant a big selection - go to any mainland country and you'll have loads of shops with loads of choice, but thats cos they can get to the snow a lot easier than we can, and do so for weekends....
[edit] Another problem you could face is that a lot of the time people want to try out skis/boards before they buy them, to see if they suit.... difficult to do that from here.
    [/edit]
Good luck though, and keep us informed of your venture. Are you looking at windsurfing/kiting/mountainboard also?

Hey if your going to get involved in setting up a store to sell snowboarding equipment,
make sure you check out www.Irishsnowboarder.com, its Irelands snowboarding community
website where many boarders from all over Ireland hook up.
A good place to advertise your new company and help grow your business as
the sites main aim is to grow the sport of snowboarding in Ireland.

contact aidan, he will help you out..
