Can someone help me identify the pins on an ATX 24 pin psu connector?

My friends PC parts just arrived, and I realised I have the wrong power supply. The motherboard needs a 20 pin power supply connector, and the PSU has a 24pin connector. Apparently you can get an EPS to ATX adapter, but I doublt I will find one in any shops near here, and there's no way my friend will wait another week for this pc, it's late enough as it is.

So im going to have to do some jimmying. I cannot find anywhere that lists which pins are which on the 24 pin connector... the motherboard gives instructions as to which is which on the motherboard, im just clueless about the 24pin.

Any info?

Anyway, I've almost fixed my problem. It seems that the 24pin will actualy work with a 20 pin mobo, the last 4 pins are not needed. It would be fine if it just hung over the edge, but there's a diode in the way. I would CUT the last 4 pins, but that would void my warrenty, and I've jsut noticed that the god damned 24pin connected is missing the 8th pin (the -5 volt)

Does anyone know if the -5 volt is needed?

As this picture shows they are pin compatible, it's just got the extra 4 which are supposedly going direct to powering the PCI-Express graphics

Sorry, I've gotten the pin numbers mixed up, it's 15, a "com/ground" that's missing...
