signed up for an account to see if it worked, got an account no problems but i havent tried using the email yet (im in work), i would EXTREMELY doubt they have the capabilities to store 1TB per user and are obviously going on the assumption that each user will infact use at most 2-300MB, maybe 1GB tops

1GB is even a hell of a lot. Most people believe google don't have the capacity for 1GB for everyone (in terms of allocation for mail that is - they've tonnes of space for searching stuff).

1TB sound... nuts. I suggest someone sees how full they can get the account.

Think about GMail is though it's not just about the space. The searching and interface are a large part of why people like it.

What'd be funny though would be if they were using gmail accounts and gmail fs to store the stuff. :P

Imagine that the average Email is 5k in size that means that you would be able to store 214748336.8 emails.(it would take a lot of spam to fill that up) might be a good idea to just use it as storage space for yourself. It would be like a very slow 1Terabyte portable hard drive (nice).
