Most won on a scratchcard?

    Whats the most money you've won on a National Lottery scratch card?

    I remember a long time ago it wasn't unusual to win £50 if you were lucky. These days you're lucky to get €4. I haven't heard of anyone winning a decent amount of money on one (€50+), and just want to know if its possible at all.

    I buy a scratch card from time to time, and either get nothing, €4 or 3 bloody stars if its winning streak....

    I'd love to know if there is are standard odds on winnings, e.g. 1 in 10 is €4, 1 in 100 is €50, 1 in 5000 is €1000 etc....

    Most I ever won was €4, which with I bought 2 more scratch cards and won nothing.
    Thus is way of the game.

    I won 50 quid a long time ago old money ( jeez sounds like me da).

    I knew someone, dead now, who when there was a car and cash card, i.e. match 3*cash amount win that, match 3*car makes win a car, who won 5,000 and a subaru on the same card, they only scratched the bottom bit when the lady in the shop told them to.
    That was a nice one.

    When I 17 which is a long long time ago I won £1000 on a scratch card. Actually to show how long ago it was, I bought a Sega Gamegear with the some of the dosh.

    I won £50 a couple of times and I once won a hamper. I remember giving the ticket to my mam for her to claim the prize because in all fairness what would I want with a luxury hamper?? But about 3 days before Christmas the National Lottery sent out a cheque for £50 because they said that some people had been dissapointed that the hamper didn't include a Turkey or a Ham and that the £50 should cover it.

    So all in all I'm quite lucky with them although I haven't bought one in yonks. I might buy one at lunchtime and let ou know how I got on.

    About this time last year I put €25 worth of petrol in my car and went into the petrol station to pay for it. I asked for a scratch card as an impulse buy, (I didn't intend on buying one).
    Went outside and scratched it and I won €30 on it!
    Free petrol!!! and I also bought meself a sammich for my lunch with the few left over euros! :D
    That was a good day :p

    yeh i buy the odd the odd card here n there,only when it tickles my fancy to scratch off all that crazy silver stuff to see what ive one.
    Most of ever won was €25 while in the pub(popped out to get smokes and thought id buy a card). Needless to say the drinks were on me

    £250 over a 2 week period. Buy a card, win a quid or a new one or win a tenner or twenty.

    Moment I lost, I stopped buying the damn things.

    Now I do the Lotto, c'os IT COULD BE ME :rolleyes:

    £50 myself. Don't forget though that you can get onto the game show on a Saturday night and win over €500,000. My cousin was on it a few years ago and won £11,000 and a holiday. 5 people get on every week, so it does happen and several other prizes are available through the shows having bought a scratchcard. I've 3 stars sent in this week, so hopefully!!!! :)

    i never won more than €2 but a girl in work found 2 euro bought a card and won fifty a few weeks ago, thats interesting bout prize bonds i have some for years now always just assumed it was a scam

    Since posting the above post, I have just scratched a scratch card that I had bought earlier. There were 3 stars on it! :) That'll be in in time for the draw on Saturday week. I have one in for this week already! I could get lucky! :)

    i had a spare fiver so i did the lotto quickpick with lotto extra of course and also got a 2 euro scratchie....

    didnt win the lotto unfortunately but i won a free ticket which i still have to collect.... will report back with i got on
