Sharp GX30 on Vodafone.. what happened?

I was looking into getting an upgrade on my vodafone postpay account recently. Became quite interested in the sharp gx30, more so when I saw the kind of quality the camera could produce. Strolled into a vodafone agent the other day and to my surprise I was told that the gx30 has been dropped from their range because it was discontinued and obsolete. (Something to that effect anyway)

Despite this, the phone is still listed on their website and is in the most current catalog. So, I suppose I'm asking anyone in the know why this phone is no longer available? Is there something fundamentally wrong with the phone or just wrong as far as vodafone is concerned? I'm in the market for a flip camera phone so is there any reason I shouldn't get this one? That is presuming that I can still get this anywhere...
