The South Park Christmas Album has some crackers (excuse the pun).

'Merry F**king Christmas' being my fave...the most un-p.c. xmas song you'll ever hear.

"Theres a Dead Man Up the Chimney (Christmas is Cancelled)" by Fester and Ailin...

Said it before and now I'll say it again: The old Penny's Christmas ad.

/me sings "Penney's gotta whole lotta things for Christmas, got a lot for the family...Tra la la la la... Tra la la la la..."

That song used to always get stuck in my head around Christmas time when I worked in Penneys. I remember one year when we all decided to have a go at sliding down the stock slide (used for moving boxes down from the first floor of the stockroom) to recreate the ad!

Oh Holy night... from Home alone Fame.... in the church etc etc... rather a sad moment in the film and I think it's a nice song.

sometimes in a bookies they have betting without the sure thing favourite....this is how this should go.....Fairy tale of new york wins hands do

The best songs are the ones that place you in a christmas place in your mind. I.E....Driving home for christmas from Chris Rea is a real christmas eve song..excellent. Any nat king cole song works too.

Chris Martin from coldplay has a lovely version of have yourself a merry christmas..if you can get your hands on it

My current 'favourite' is a ditty called "I want to give you one for xmas"! Its absolutely awful, but laced with double entendres. I been looking for a link to it for the last hour, but to no avail. The search will continue.

I did find this rubbish though.

I'd have to agree and say Fairytale In New york.
The sunday tribune didn't put it in their "Legends Sing Christmas" cd surprisingly.

I'll follow along with what most people have said and vote Fairytale of New York. It's quite possibly the only song I could listen to forever and not get bored with it. A beautiful piece of work.

FINALLY! A place with some taste! :D I ditto the vote for Fairytale of New York.
I realize not everybody always warms up quickly to Shane MacGowan's unique voice...
And I quickly realized not to try to "force" my co-workers over here to listen to any of my Pogue albums like Rum, Sodomy and the Lash or Red Roses. But when I get hastled for trying to play such an absolutely brlliant, beautiful song like Fairytale, and then am told what is that *@$#? Or "that's not a real Christams song"... Then I do have to go off and say something  .
So, again, I'm glad to finally be surrounded by those of good taste.
    Cheers! :):D:)

My favourite is White Christmas [Bing Crosby], followed closely by Fairytale of New York [Kirsty & Shane] and the Little Drummer Boy [Bing Crosby & David Bowie] ... I love Chrimbo music ... the cd is camped in the car stereo at the mo! :)

p.s. Shouldn't we have a Santa Smilie or something to add a bit of extra chrimbo cheer

Im probably going to get absolutely slated for this and get plenty of bad reps but in terms of feel good, catchy, holiday style music the one I like is
(gulp) Maria Carey "All I want for Christmas".
Im not saying I dont like "Fairy Tale of New York" or "Driving Home for Christmas" but I dont really feel like its Christmas until I hear All I want blaring in a shop or better yet a pub.

Has to be for me John Lennon's Happy Christmas (War is Over).
Always relevant and poignant year after year...
