Has anyone played this? What's it like? Is it better/worse than the Sims 2?

From what I've read it seems like a dumbed down version of The Sims 2.

The Sims 2 for people that only want the social interaction parts, and didn't think their sims looked "funky" enough.

Yeah, it's not really like the Sims or Sims 2. It's like that Sims: Bustin' Out. Played that? It's more of a little adventure with a story and missions, goals etc. It just happens to be set in the world of the Sims. It's actually quite enjoyable but it's a very different beast to an actual Sims game.
