Hi I was reading an article on the mobile athlon
This tells of an OEM software product AMD supplies that changes the multplier and volts to a xp-m depending on needs thus reducing power, heat and of course noise

anyone have this app.? sounds great

    Thanks

Cool 'N' Quiet is for desktop Athlons, and I'm nearly positive that the mobile Athlons have a similar thing called Power Now! that does basically the same thing. If Power Now! is just for mobile Amd 64's I'm not sure..are there even mobile Amd 64's? I think there's some demo software here somewhere., if not I'm sure it'll tell you about it elsewhere on the site.

Powernow is not just for mobile AMD64s, have it on my xp2800 lappie, it throttles the cpu down from 2+ghx to 1.4 whenever its not under pressure (or as I've often found recently whenever it feels like it  )
