Any problems with using other routers with Eircom DSL?

I was offered a nice Linksys router by a good friend of mine and I'm tempted to take it, but I've heard of people having nasty problems using routers other than the crappy Netopia one you get from Eircom. Has anyone here run into issues?

Nope, any PPPoE compatible router will work fine. You just need to put in the correct settings.
Eircom obviously wont support your router, but there shouldn't be any problems with it. Linksys are decent routers! What's wrong with the Netopia anyway, I find it quite good!
