When crossing the road at a crossroads, as soon as you see the little green man it means that you can cross the road. It also means that the traffic to your left and right have a red light. But the traffic right in front of you and that behind have a GREEN light, just like you, so they are allowed drive to the crossing and stop until there’s no one on it, but it’s *normal* to find drivers that drive on it once they’re sure of not killing anyone.

Its similar in Sweden, and can be a bit of a shock if you're daydreaming while strolling around.

crossing the roaqd in Paris gave me quite a few near heart attacks. they should have tunnels everywhere like at the champs elysses (sp?) but its understandable why they'd have one at that roundabout. the craziest bit of road i have ever seen in my life

From experience, last night someone just shouted everybody go and about 1000 peope just blocked the road.. worked well

that was genius... those parisian drivers didnt seem to like it too much... some french dude was revving his little renault like a mad fukka... he got some nice abuse about it....
