Trinity Arch, George (different for a night out), The Vaults, Sosume and Eammon Dorans (best on a Sat nite, a mix of music) they're just some places i can think of!

I used to love Switch a few years ago and the Tivoli was good up til about a year ago but these are closed now. Anyone know any good Techno/Trance clubs in town or has the clubbing scene in Dublin gone down the tubes with the Tivoly.

yeah... any clubs that don't play beyonce, sean paul and all that tripe please mention them. Anyone know of any clubs that play the same type of music you'd expect to hear in the Witnness/Oxegen dance tent? Basically where the base controls everything and everyones having a blast and they'd have whistles and stuff. I love the dance tent!

Im giving my vote to Bondi in Stillorgan, simply cause its as good as anywhere else and has half price drinks on Thursda and Sunday, plus the women are a country mile better looking than any other club ive ever been in and there about a 50/ 50 mix of guys to girls.

No knackers either which is a pleasant change.

Barcode is good, and yeah its very snazy, free in and the drinks are cheap on a thursday night and i think they've a good happy hour some days aswell (12-7?)cant remember too well though.

For dance music, Redbox + Spirit both do decent dance nights on a Friday night, cant think of where to go for dance any other night though but for DJ's like the ones in oxegen you'd want to check ticketmaster.

I cannot believe the amount of peopole advocating poxy Barcode.

The place is full of posers and knackers in equal measure, drink is crap as it comes out of a machine and it gets too warm, there is no air conditioning.

They play crap music, and when it comes to "rock" they always play the same songs in the same order at the same time on a friday and saturday night.

About 12.30 cue Summer of '69 by Bryan Admas, followed by Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns 'N' Roses, then Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi, then either I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness or Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand.

The place is a joke.

For a good place to go, with real people and music, although not a club essentially, but then neither is Barcode, try Pravda.

There are absolutely no knackers in Bondi, but in fainress ive only ever been there on a thur and sun, but ive yet to see any even remotely close to a knacker!

What's wrong with "knackers" ? Just because they may have grown up in worse conditions then your class you shouldn't make them out as if they ruin a night out. I've heard many stories of "upper class" "goys" starting fights. Oxegen dance tent is full of these supposed "knackers", best place ever to dance. They are just there to have a good time. People less off than you aren't worse people.

Anyone who starts a fight anywhere in my opinion is a "knacker" whether they come from worse condition than your class or whether they are "upper class" "goys".

And please, with your "People less off" comment. Don't be so presumptious about people's income level. If you take a look at my username over there to the left, you will see I am from what I assume you would class as one of your "less well off areas".

Well said, I am not a techno fan myself, however I would never cast aspersions on another's music taste, nor make generalisations about people who listen to a particular flavour of music.
