I'm not sure if i'm in the right forum or not but if this gets redirected then so be it.!

My Canon printer is giving me problems - it wont print !! The green light on the front of it keeps flashing and i get an error message saying that the pc can't communicate with the printer. It was working the other day... I have recently put new ink carts in it and they worked like a dream but now all of a sudden this piece of **** has stopped co-operating !!
All the cables are in and look fine, I installed the latest drivers and checked for paper jams, leaking ink, dust! etc everything looks good ???
Other forums and FAQ's suggest it is the printhead that is gone and I need to get a new one. Has anyone had problems like this before?, will i have to buy a new printhead? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

P.S./ Pushing the cartridge button just makes three beeps -nice but useless

Have you tried replacing the LPT or USB cable whichever applies. Then uninstall and reinstall the drivers.
