Recently moved desks at work and now the shaggers have Border Manager installed. I can only recieve http packets .. no ftp / telnet / irc.

How do I go about connecting to a mIRC server ? File/Options/Connect/Firewall. I presume it's a proxy server and not socks.

    Hostname:
    UserID:
    Password:
    Port:

? Do I set up a proxy server on my machine ? Do I connect to somewhere on my network ? Do I connect to a proxy server somewhere on the Net ? Or Do I connect to my own machine ( as I read somewhere about getting my Hostname etc from my registry ) ?

Any info would be apppreciated. I'm goin mad .. plz before I shoot my boss :P

    Thanks

After doing a little info search .. am I correct in saying

I connect to the WWW server machine IP.
Connect using my user/password to log onto network.
What ports should I use as I think Proxy ports can be fussy.
