did I hear that the AES has been decided on? I tend to fall behind on the news during college. Their hands must be sore from sitting on them for so long.

I heard the same thing from our Security lecturer. I'm not sure if he said it has been decided for definite, but that's the impression I got.

And we have to write a servlet to implement it

Yup, it's official. On October 2, NIST announced that the Rijndael algorithm will be AES.
