email security/encryption

Is there any good free software available for email encryption etc.. i need to email sensitive data once or twice a day probably from a unix a/c and i know how email si not very secure anyone got any ideas?

Or get gnupg its a gnu open source version of pgp, with non of the encryption limitations of the international version.
