/me points cursor over nethouse banner and looks sheepishly at the status bar...

    Couldn't this be patched?
To remove any lines of html with 1x1 images or block out anything from *.doubleclick.net?

Bah, I hope this ruins them forever. smile.gif

I use junkbuster proxy which kills all requests to *.doubleclick.*

Search boards for previous post on it (I got shot down by Kali or someone as being too paranoid, hah, you must be joking - this proves you can't be too paranoid on the web...)

whats the exact address it looks for?

replace it with 127.1 in your namelookup (hosts) file or something, should fix it

"Web bugs are the latest innovation in the
art of monitoring people moving through websites."

This is nothing new people. This was what the whole cookie privacy debate was about back in '94, with netscapes magic cookies.

Now what i find worrying is that the masses have only coped on to this now, 6 years later.

Well can't the same tracking be done with credit card numbers?
Or is that info 100% hush-hush?
