    Is anyone (who has an account there obviously) having problems connecting to the ftp site for Eircom.net's homepage.eircom.net web server? Does anyone know what the problem there is?

    Just keep trying. It only allows you get access sometimes. All this trouble with the FTP started after Eircom were hacked. I e-mailed them and they said they were working to recify the problem but that was months ago!

    Story's this:
    When Eircom got hacked you had to phone in or whatever to get a new password which they gave you. This will allow you to access then net and collect your mail. it will not allow you onto your webspace for some ****ed up reason. I got onto them about this and they had it sortted in a few minutes.

    Nothing ever went wrong with my eircom.net email accounts though - the passwords weren't changed and I was able to carry on using them as norm. Same thing with the dialup username/password - although I don't use those unless Esat SNL dies (which is rare enough in our area, it seems - thankfully!)... It's just the web space.

    Ah well - I suppose a phone call is in order.
