god i hate that song so common...

is there any mad wierd story behind alice in wonderland... not that it strange enough in itself as it was, was it have drug inspired or communist undertones or something like that ?

im asking about the original story by lewis carol not the song

I'd say Mr. Carol was doing some serious drugs when he wrote that one.

I think it has some kind of underlying mathmatical theme to it as well. I think Alice was a neighbor child who died at a young age, and he had her in mind as he wrote the story. Not sure where I read that though. so I could be wrong.

I heard that he was obssesed with a girl called Alice, and made her the main character in the story.
I also think its in relation to his experiences with drugs too.

(theres a play called Alice which is about his obssesion with the girl, Tom Waits wrote the music for it, and has a CD out of the same name)

Alice in Wonderland is a paedophile story. Carroll was a notorious paedo of Victorian times although his fame as an "artist" allowed him to cover it up. Part of the "writing" process for Alice involved taking photgraphs of naked children to "audtition" the part.
