Mounting UFS filesystems on OpenBSD

    # mount -t ufs ....
mount: no mount helper program found for ufs: No such file or directory

    (/sbin has no mount_ufs)

After much searching (ports, google, openbsd.org, ftp.openbsd.org) I can't find anything at all about obtaining a copy of this. I see plenty of mailing list posts on google about using UFS filesystems in OpenBSD, but nobody tells you where to get it.

    Any ideas?

I thought that ffs ran on top of ufs, and that it was the default filesystem type, so why would you need to specify it? Obviously I'm missing something.

You're dead right. I'm a complete tit, I was attempting to mount the wrong slice, the errors led me to think it was a filesystem thing.

    Thanks :)
