Setanta Sports Launches

    It has been added to the epg on 401 with a message about the move on analog, and has the annoying pink box 'You have not subscribed to this channel,' although It will probably be removed soon. On analog the same message is shown. It's HERE :)

    Yep & that pink/purple "not subscribed" box has dissapeared now on the digital feed. :)

    Great.

    Can anyone tell me how come NTL only have 340,000 subscribers? I honestly thought the whole of Dublin had cable, not to mention those with NTL digital.

    They are all listed on the ntl epg listings & they are all SPL games from last season & they're on all day starting from midday. :D

    I thought RTE were showing a premiership match every 2nd week. Setanta have a premiership match on for 3 weekends in a row. Anyone know what RTE will be showing?

    They're not just having one match every 2 weeks, afaik the 30 matches (15 each) will be scattered between them so that they will not clash with RTÉ's sports schedule. :)

    I think the Olympics are on....therfore RTE will be busy for the first few weeks!!!

    Hmmm, has it shown any football at all today?

    I see the same fixtures screen is still up with Newstalk 106 as the audio. It says that some of last years SPL matches are supposed to be on, on the digital epg guide. :confused:

    No football was shown on cable or digital at all today. The EPG details were of football matches from SPL but that screenshot is still up here in Waterford.

    Hey - the average house might have 4 or 5 people.

    340,000 x 4 is the population of Dublin.

    In response to NLERIC . I just checked with Chorus Limerick. They advise that Setanta Sports is being launched on their DIGITAL SERVICE ONLY before the end of August. It will be included in their basic Digital Package at 27.50 per month(direct debit). So now we just await Sky Digital to put it in the Family Pack?!?!?!?!

    I highly doubt it but i suppose its another reason to stick with cable.
