As someone living in Athlone I never saw anything funny about Nuts Corner or Durty Harry's but I suppose they've both been there as long as I can remember. Another good pub name:

Somewhere in Castlerea, Co. Roscommon I think is
    The Stagger Inn.

In Greece while on a European Peoples Festival the Irish group stayed in a hotel called
Hotel Elpis. It was very appropriate.

Don't know if it's still there or not, but 'Dolphin Meats' in Dolphin's Barn always used to give me a giggle.

I always found 'Dynorod' funny, also, 'Master Catering' a more obvious one.

That's gone but I think there is still a Chinese take-away in Dundrum called "The Great Wall" just across the road from the Central Mental Hospital.

Nice theory, but I'm pretty sure The Great Wall is in Blackrock. The chinese across from the hospital has been called the New Peking for as long as I can remember.

There is a florist in Dundrum called Blooming Amazing though.

There used to be a chain of Chinese Take-aways in Dublin called "Good Luck" which I always thought was quite strange.
The reason being, every time you'd ring up to place your order you'd be greeted with the words "Good Luck"
Doesn't exactly instill confindence when you're just about to order food!!!
