Some fecker broke my wing mirror. It's an electric one and is hanging on via the cable. It's broken off at the base and is otherwise fine. Does anyone know of a glue that would be strong enough to hold this on?

Loctite is a good glue but (not knowing your type of car) most mirrors may not have enough glueable area to make it a sound bond (they are kind of hollow at the base).

Get some Araldite and that mirror's never coming off again...;)

It's a Focus and you're right - it is hollow, so I don't think Loctite will do the job.

ChipZilla - where would I get Araldite? Tried a few hardware places today and no joy. Is it a specialist glue?

    Thanks

It's an industrial glue. Builder's providers should have it...

Oh yeah, a similar thing would be Plastic Padding. You can get that in Woodies. I'd imagine car accessory shops would have it too...

Araldite is a brand name - any two part epoxy resin glue will hold it.
