I loved season 1+2 watched so many times it is not healthy but I just didnt find it funny tonight bar one or two giggles. Is it me or was there more than usual amounts of swearing just for the sake of it?

Who care about jokes when Emma Bunton on the screen? ;)

    Mike.

a bit hit and miss. mick hutchence was great though feeling up kirsty gallaghers arm.

I thought it was terrible, apart from MJ. They ****ed with the theme-tune / credits. From that point onwards, I knew it was in trouble.

the show was a mixed bag, im a huge fan but most of the characters have been done to death especially davina. However there were some excellent new characters my favourite was jason from the darkness trying to go for a piss. all in all i thought it was average with some awful bits and some brilliant ones too, still passes for good entertainment imo

I thought it was crap. He seems to be actually turning into Avid Merrion properly. The ruined the Bear. Justin and MJ were about the only funny bits and the Justin thing was barely funny. More disturbing really.

Exactly my thoughts, only laughs were Lily Savage and Mick Hucknall. Oh well, there's usually one crap episode in each Bo Selecta season. Let's hope it was just an unlucky first ep.

Not bad, but trying for a lot of cheap laughs by the gross bits in the show and as its the first series Avid may have been trying too hard. Will wait till next week for judgement:ninja:

I think Season one was the best then everyone started to become aware of it and you couldn't go two minutes without someone saying "Cha mone muthafucka"

Almost as bad as the days of the Budweiser "wasssssssup".

Hrm was a mixed bag for me too. Am a big fan of both series 1&2 and have the dvd box set. However i was hoping to god that they didnt change the format of the show and, alas, they have. Avid has a talk show... wtf?! That doesn't carry very well at all. The naked granny was just disturbing. Did have it's funny moments tho like Justin from the darkness, mick hucknell and MJ. I couldnt help laughing at the small 'ehh hmm hmm ehhh' Harry Hill snippet. Still tho on the whole... 'could have done better'. Still tho, first one has been ripped to the pc in two 90 meg odd segments (part 1 and 2, obviously). If anyone didn't see it i'll be more than happy to burn it to cd for them.

Well it's already been repeated twice, so we'll be well sick of it before the DVD arrives. :dunno:

I liked the Justin and Mick Hucknall bits, but I don't like the new format. Bedtime With The Bear was always my favourite part and now it's gone. Will be looking forward to seeing his take on Kat Slater but overall the old format was grand so it was a mistake to change it.

I thought this episode was a massive improvement on series 2.

I bought series 1 when it came out (never had cable up till about 2 months ago), and thought it was amazing.

I bought Series 2 when that came out aswell - imo it was just recycling all the same sh!te every week. Seriously. How many times is "Oh my tail popped out" funny. How many times is David Blaine (who used to be my favourite) rubbing up against some woman funny. Variety is what made the first series.

It was going the way of trigger happy - recycling the same old tired jokes over and over every week with one or 2 new funny things thrown in.

I thought the new format, the new characters (esp Justin and Liz Taylor) were brilliant. I'd miss david blaine and Kelly osbourne, but maybe they'll be back (hopefully with some new material). I'm just glad the whole bear thing didnt end in "Oh look, my tail's popped out - for the fcuking 17 time in a row - isnt that funny".

I loved series one but series two was complete rubbish.

The first episode of the third series was pretty awful except for a few bits like the bit at the dressing room (to Emma: "Can you spit on my face") or the darkness guy taking a p*ss.

I thought it was decent enough, they steered it away from the usual format though that was pretty good, rather than let it get stale

I hope they haven't ditched Kelly Osbourne. She was bloody hilarious! :D

From the look of one of the ads, it looks like he's gonna do more of Jack this time than Kelly (What's with the brown bread?).

I thought it was a very weak start to the series. Ah well, it can only get better!

I thought the Justin from The Darkness sketch was very funny though!

The sketch of Michael Jackson with Ronnie Barker and Liz Taylor was terrible!

Last nights show was a classic, ****e Rider and Nadia from Big Brother was brillant, starting to change my point of view of this show now:)

have to disagree TIPPTOP, I thought it was total piss.

The first series was brilliant, the second was ok, this series so far has been dire... I didnt laugh once.

At the end I decided it was time to say farewell to it. I'm not going to watch it anymore... I'm already using up enough energy holding onto the Simpsons, even though I know its pretty much dead.... I cant be arsed watching another show in the hope it will have 1 more good episode..:D

Hrm have yet to see the second episode. It's on tonight on e4, right?

last nites episode was piss poor :dunno:

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,255 ✭✭✭TCamen

The 2nd episode is repeated tonight around 11pm on C4 I think.

I thought the first ep of S3 was a bit weak, but the second one last night was a lot better I thought.

Nadia & Kat Slater were really funny new additions and Michael Jackson 'Porridge' worked much better this week imo. Thought him calling the dinner lady a bitch was really funny :)

The best bit was Mel B & Patsy Kensit though... "That Patsy's a right minge-teasing bastard, I say a right minge-teasing bastard!" :D

That being said, I REALLY don't like the chat show setup, I mean Peter Andre getting on to promote his single ffs

It was ok I guess, in the way that it's interesting to see how deranged and perverted it can get. Like what the f*ck was with the Jordon sketch and the one with Bob Mortimer??

The mj porrige bit was kinda funny, oh yeah, and me flabby bingo wings!!
