QW 2on2, anyone?

Right, I've briefly discussed this with Syxpak and we have agreed that instead of running the usual 1on1 qw tourni in which the more experienced players own and the newbies get knocked out in the first round or two, GLX will instead host a 2on2 tourni (with a league style like the one used in the cs tourni).

I am not going to try and organise this one in advanced, it simply didn't work last time and also I will be in Spain for 2 weeks prior to the lan. Instead I'd just like to get some idea of how many are in so that I can compare it on the day (people don't like walking over to the sign in desk to enter tournis

).

The tourni rules are as follows:

Good players will be teamed up with newbies (this will depend alot on whether mIXu and Mindphuck end up coming).

Medium players (tman, Syxpak, electrofelix etc) will be placed with other medium players.

custom textures are allowed but not fullbright ones, only ones that make it look cooler (the ones I used at the last one prior to the tourni shouldn't be used in this tourniment).

-ruleset smackdown does not apply, ye may use whatever options ye want for the tourni. I'll help anyone set up their config if needs be.

The tourni will have more emphasise on fun than competition, this isn't cs.
