Does anyone out there know anything more about this Vodafone "super-card"?
Is it on the way for real? or just talk?

But Vodafone's killer 3G application may be yet to come. According to one of its business product development managers, the company will launch a "super-card" by the end of the year.This will incorporate 3G, GPRS and wi-fi on a single card and will transfer automatically between the three technologies depending on which one gives the fastest connectivity speed at any given time.

well they'll just be re-branding a card made by someone else - could well be from Option who mentioned one with this capability but didn't announce as yet

but they did announce today

Swisscom Mobile and Option: world première in mobile data communications

so Vodafone could just supply their branded 'version' of this card (like before with Options's GPRS GlobeTrotter PC Card and UMTS PC Card)
