Afaik, this is the first: http://www.aceshardware.com/read.jsp?id=65000304

Its much faster than the P4, however its amusing to see the "midrange", single channel, Socket 754 A64 3400+ beat the P4 3.4 EE too (in nearly all gaming benchmarks and some others)!

I hope Intel manage to get competitive again as AMD are just charging what they want atm as nothing seems to be able tot ouch em.
Overclocking was - partly due to time constraints - a short but rather disappointing adventure. We were not able to overclock beyond 5%, limiting ourselves to a 1.7V core voltage. I guess we will have to wait a little longer to reach 2.6 GHz and more.
Strange that as on harcodp and anandtech they managed to get the 3200+ to 2.5ghz on air (c'hammer). Think this was with 1.8v tho. Still thats about 24% while these guys only managed 5%?

I dont think you can trust any of these "mainstream" enthusiast sites for overclocking info, they spend far too much time pretending they are real "press" than getting their hands dirty on the engineering side of things, like ye olde times.

    The 939 is for A64 3500, A64 3800, A64 FX-53 and A64 FX-55 at the moment AFAIK.

The end of this month should see the first Socket 939 MB and PCI - Express cards. The main difference is the extra voltage that can be supplied to cards (Gfx cards may not need extra power) and the increase in bandwidth. Mayhap the X800 will only fill AGP 8X - but what about the next generation of Gfx cards? You afto think about the future mate - the future is faster, bigger, better:cool:. BTX may be a bit slow on the uptake. I can't wait to make myself a new rig :D DROOOLLLL.
