Building PC guide

No, I'm not asking for a list of components for a self-build PC this time!!. I'm wondering in anyone has come across a guide on the net to the actual process of building the thing once you have all the bits and pieces - i.e. step 1 plug in the PSU, etc etc.

Step 1: Attach anti-static strap.

Note I've never done this, I've built a couple of hundred machines and never harmed any of this, but it's best practice to do it.

grounding yourself on a none metal grounded object also works. Also dont work in a carpeted or very dry (dry yes but not very dry if ya know what i mean) room.

Anti static straps are probably handy but they aint essential.

just touch a screw on either side of a plug socket.

I find the anti-static wrist-straps restrain you from going where you want your hand to go

if you touch a non painted metal surface of your pc case it takes the static out of your body, static of course is bad dor pc components and can harm/damage components
