What is so wrong with Feeder??They don't get much radio play.It's more your Busted's and stuff that gets air play.Now thats sad.

And so on and so on...

Feeder - Insignificant crap, one rung above Busted on the ladder of sh*te music.

Good music is timeless laddie, you'd do well to take that on board. Legendary status is earned by bands who prove themselves over time, producing consistently good music. Not by bands who "drink cider from a lemon"...

I think it's more a case that good music is subjective - I'm not a particularly big fan of several of the bands you mentioned but if you want to think of them as legends then that's fair enough.

D4 is allowed to think of Feeder as being legends (it doesn't make it so), it just means people will point and laugh;) .

I suppose calling them legends is going a bit far but i still thought they rocked slane and Just a day is a class song.
They have been around since the late 90's to now which is good going considering the music buissness these days.

I'd just like to know how old/age category you fall in to therecklessone??You would not be taken seriously calling BOB Dylan A legend by most young people today.:)

But he is. And I can state that in a completely objective manner, since I'm not a fan of his. Hardly compelling stuff laddie. For a start I thought they were sh*te at Slane, limp and extremely uninteresting (QOTSA barely broke a sweat and they were infinitely more entertaining), and one song does not a legend make.

i think feeder are ok i just a day and buck rogers is great too, didnt like that mellow album at all, but considering what happened i can see why they weren't into doing happy music...

Well Pal how can you justify that they aint a great rock band.It's just your Opinion that they sucked at slane.(Were i was(in the pit) evryone was going bonkers when just a day come on).Your just like some of my Friends(Go on with the same kind of bull sh** that "Oh U2 are great and Bono is Legend" Bono is an arogant gimp who tries to sell an extra few cd's by saying"Oh im trying to stop the wars ere, there and everywhere"and when he does these fundraising things he gets other people to donate money, with him at the forefront giving very f*cking little.).Got a bit carried away there but what i'm trying to say is that they don't give any of the new bands a chance, which is bullSh**

I suppsoe most of the bands you mentioned don't get into that knid of thing.They stick to what they are Supposed to be "Good" at.Unlike that other Irish twat.:mad:

Have to say that QOTSA greatly dissappointed me at Slane this year. RHCP were good, though not in my top 5 acts ever or anything.
The Foos were great, pity they werent headlining. Morcheeba and Feeder were surprisingly good and I'm a big Morcheeba fan already. Just my 2 cents.

Did you see the Foos when they played in the point in 2002?
I can honestly say it was the best concert ive ever been to.
In the pit, right at the front (barrier!) with Dave Grohl lookin down at me.

Personnally, I thought the chilis put on a great show (and too right! Its the biggest concert they've ever headlined!) but I dont think Foos shud've headlined.

Maybe next year? That wud be cool.

We don't DeV. I've absolutely no problem with personal tatse. I liked QOTSA at Slane, you didn't. Sh*t happens. Taste is taste, nothing is gonna change that.

I'm just trying to highlight to my good friend laddie here that you can't really make broad sweeping statements like:

1. The RHCP are one of the best bands of the last 20 years

and

2. Feeder are legends

when you have shown such limited musical experience (never having heard the Pixies for start), and then write off an entire decade as "electronic crap".

The equivalent would be to declare Adam Sandler the best actor of the last 20 years, and when challenged say that the 80s was a crap decade for movies and who is this Robert De Niro/Marlon Brando/Al Pacino anyway?

But enough of this. I've had my fun, I'll lay off the sensitive wee soul for a while.
