    Evening all.

    Got a weird problem.
Switched over from UTV to Eircom today cos i was sick of the dodgy connection.

But now when i try and go to ircspy.com i get the following error,

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'
[DBMSSOCN]General network error. Check your network documentation.
    /global.asa, line 86

I've looked up this error code at microsoft.com but all i get is this,

    "Cause
This error can occur when you rename a SQL server computer. Domain Name Systems (DSNs) that reference the old name fail when the computer name cannot be located."

which dosent mean alot to me.

So, thinking it was Eircom blocking the site, I dialled up with utv but got the same error. All my other favourites are loading fine.

    Can anyone help me here?
    Im running xp pro sp1

    Thanks in advance

There's no conspiracy, the site is just down. Someone running it must have screwed up.

It's not a problem on your end, it's a problem with the website you are trying to reach. The site is down due to technical problems.

thanks for all the replies lads.

It had me worried seeing as it coincided exactly with my connection to eircom.
