    Has anyone got a notebook from www.rockdirect.com the Quaddra XT is really taken my fancy?
    Have they a good rep?

    I used to work with someone that bought one a few years ago. Great machines by all accounts. I was actually thinking of buying one a couple of years ago but bought a crappy toshiba instead.

    I bought a Quaddra DTS Pro about 6 months ago and I have to say I'm very happy with it, found a few little niggly little annoying things and there's the fact that about 2 months later the 9700 mobility came out but other than that go for it :)

    the only charge you should be charge extra on is the shipping to ireland

    as uk is in the E.U you pay the english vat rate 17.5% and there should be no customs duty tax
