How do u recover .exe files when u upgrade your o/s?

I recently upgraded my O/S from Windows millennium edition to Xp! I put all my important files in a partition in the hard drive and when i had completed the upgrade i found i lost all the .exe files for games which i no longer have Cd's for. (STUPID ME!) I had GTA Vice city but it will not run with out it's .exe file!!…

not really.
"i upgraded my pc. in doing so, it deleted all .exe,and nothing else, in a seperate partition". not very plausible :rolleyes:
