I never heard of that show until I saw South Park last night. Hilarious episode btw.

Seems like a show that would be watched only be women and gay men anyway á la Sex and the City.

I thought you were banished in the Kinsey wars along with the crab people :D

That episode was worth it just for the "Kinsey wars" bit :)

I loved the 'crab people' chant, especially the 'taste like crab, talk like people, crab people, crab people' bit

    :D

Violated I was! Who moved and split this? Own up!

I've had the Crab People theme tune in my head all evening (not that there's much to it - the tune that is, my head has plenty to it, thanks).

Was that the first episode of the new series?

I don't normally watch South Park, mostly because I can never remember when it's on but last night's episide was pretty hilarious.

I dislike South Park but something like this really is needed to question the stupidity of the world and to push the boundaries in America. With Stern fined off the air South Park is one of the few shows now to challenge all the "pc" bull in America.

Indeed, although even South Park seemed afraid or advised not to use George Bush in the episode. Probably something to do with the women coming in and attacking people with baseball bats could have been construed as an attack on the President himself, blah blah bull****. Twould have been funny to see GWB's face on a South Park character like Saddam though.

Maybe they'll do it in the future.

I didn't know this was back on - where/when? I've not seen this, the second half of season seven, although I've seen the first half of season eight and, more importantly, crab people crab people crab people...

Twas a funny South Park episode, but the Special Olympics one was funnier imo.

You'll be able to see Queer Eye on Channel 4 starting in June. It's very funny, especially Carson. Just make sure nobody sees ya watching it incase they think yer gay ;)

Ah, I wouldn't worry about that. From what I've heard, no self-respecting gay person would be caught dead watching it. I saw it once on E4 and thought it was terrible, even from the point of view of someone who thought Bargain Hunt was worth watching.

Not to get all issue-y, but I dunno why gay ppl seem to have such a problem with the show. Most of the time they haven't even seen an episode, they just object to the premise. Like others have defended 'Joey' with cries to watch it first, then decide, I really think the gays up in arms over the show should sit down and watch it. Then condemn it, and get out marching.

I'm pretty sure it's still a Living exclusive until June.

Thanks - checking digiguide (not that I needed to check, rang a bell), you're right. Before Will & Grace and after some possibly rubbish show that I've never seen (this week on Thurs @8, everyone in the western hemisphere (except me[1]) will presumably be tuning into the dodgy runoffs for the Eurovision, presented "by Meltem Cumbul, Turkey's answer to Madonna").

I didn't know that gay people (or even gay groups or paramilitaries) had an actual issue with the show, I presumed that lots of gay people had tuned in to a show with the word "queer" in the title (obviously understandable, lots of people would tune into a show with the word "Irish" or "cute Cork hoore" in the title) and decided it was pretty crap (which on my limited viewing it kind of is but to each their own). I hadn't really thought about it beyond that.

[1]I've better things to be doing anyway like picking my toenails with a rusty spoon but there's a good episode of Yes Minister (A Question of Loyalty) on UKGold+1 at 8 and I only have season one on DVD

I wasn't aware that South Park had started up again. What time/station?

It was on Sky One a couple of nights ago at 10pm.

Check out www.southparkstudios.com for episode guides. If you have a fast internet connection, you can download the episodes from a few different places. I wouldn't usually recomend downloading, but Sky are just too far behind for such a topical show.

There is already an extremly similar programe on chalenel 4 a brittish version of queer eye for a straight guy where 2 gay guys come in and tart up some blokes at the request of their girlfriends.

Were you guys watching the same show as me? I thought that the Queer Eye for Straight Guy episode was one of the worst South Park episodes I've ever seen. Wasn't bothered watching the second half so maybe I missed the best bits.
