Warhammer 40000 Leader of a Chaos Khorne army - called Kharn the Betrayer cause he killed all his mates and I chose it cause I used to be far too trigger happy when playing Quake on the LAN in college (killing my team mates).

    All the best,

Most mornings I wake up with pins and needles or numbness in my hands (I sleep on them without noticing, *unconsciously* if you will biggrin.gif) and, the rest of the time too, I constantly suffer from this affliction of limbs falling asleep.

So when I was watching some movie where some guys were on a university challenge type - show, and the question was asked about what neuro-praxis was, and its meaning unfolded...well, i just adopted it then and there. WHOO-HA!

Give me back my towel. I'll sue.

A couple weeks came and went....when i slagged my bros name 'KodaChrome' (Paul Simon Song of Kodaks Film) and he slagged me back by saying 'Ooh its Vertical, Such a stupid boring name' bla bla bla....then i sed wtf...he explained wot my own name meant to me smile.gif .....And from then on ive been telling ppl i knew wot my name meant all along biggrin.gif

(Somewhat long winded story.....but fúckit, i enjoyed it :P)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 890 ✭✭✭Wyverne

a fourth century (or thereabouts) mythological creature/beast that devoured its victims with pincer like jaws

it walked upright as man does, and had incredibly powerful limbs....

it is aslo spelt Wyvern / Wyvryn

but Wyverne is the least used and looks that much better,

i started to use it because i have always been interested in mythology, and this creature stood out as being one not to f*ck with and one that had a kewl name

    also used (as a kid)

    Super
    (then) SuperMario
    (then) Supermario2
    (then) SuperMarioMarvel

but i only ever used those nicks for PC games, my entire online life i have been know as Wyverne (unless you count - muppet/spamwhore/fagg0t/gheyness ...................................

Im Going to Thrash you to within an Inch of your Life.....................
    AND THEN TAKE THAT INCH!!!!

bit of a crap story how i got this nick but here it goes

i started playing Quake 1 and Red Alert online as Inferno (yer i know,i know) then i
realised how common as muck that name so as i was playing Action Quake 2 at the time (from the same lads that made cs mind smile.gif)
and i was in a clan called [DOGS] as in Reservoir Dogs. Well i was put in charge of the tactics, strategies and such and i was told i was quite good at it biggrin.gif so the lads called me the strategist so i changed the e for an a and it stuck smile.gif (told ya it was a crap story)

    other nicks included
LagimusMaximus - kinda self explanitary when ur playing AQ2 on some crap uk server with 400 ping rolleyes.gif

bl33tingDonkey (my current cs nick) well im always ranting about summit and someone called me a bleeting donkey one night so i changed and its still there in my conifg biggrin.gif

ShottyMcHeadshot - teehee i like to run around in CS on UK servers like a mad whore with meh m3 smile.gif

finally strat0r - my cuttent IRC nick -kust an abbreviation of StrataGIST with an uber kool "0r" tongue.gif

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,274 ✭✭✭Monty - the one and only

Monty was a nickname I had in school....

"- the one and only" came from a time where some gimp stole the password off my nick and changed it(before I became a moderator).

Back in the days of Commodore64's, Bubble Bobble, Gauntlet II and Super Sprint in the arcades, there was only space for 3 characters in the high scores table, so drinking a can of Coke, I thought hmm, Tin.

Thought it was too short when I started playing Q2 so I lashed on Cool at the end. Totally daft, but original.

funnily enough even when me and hobbes(raven)were playing Doom2 on a serial i used JAG, then in quake i still used it, quake 2/heretic2 it was JAG/jaguar, Tribes it was JAG/Kodiak/Qui and then back to JAG.

i think i will always use this nick biggrin.gif

(ive got so many jag email address's that is becoming obsessive)

    Right, Cueball, guess smile.gif

seriously when i was around 14 - 17 i was really into pool, snooker etc and was actually good! I played for my county and local pub (at 16 - 17) Used to go snooker hall everyother day, owned everyone. But alas prices rised and being the poor unemloyed person i was ..... couldnt go anymore.

Anyway i was called Cue from a few youths as i could swerve the cueball round the table like magic, and as my old CS nick (Mad Mungo \ Blacknight) sucked Cueball i became, even though im guessing im crap at the game now biggrin.gif (one day, one day)

    *=CueBall=*

The meaning of the name is two-fold wink.gif

Meaning the first : I play a lot of stradedgy games and always use blitzkrieg tactics. Entire races vanish from the galaxy in the blink of an eye, leaving people wondering : "Wasn't there a planet there a while ago?"

Meaning the second : The Blitzkrieger were elite SS stormtroopers. Their mission was to go behind enemy lines and wreak havoc, which is usually what I try to do in tfc.
