car shop info?

    anyone know what it takes to set up your own car shop??....selling car parts ---exhausts?......performance parts?......also styling cars etc?...

    something id like to do in the future.......what education would i need?

    you would need knowledge of car mechanics [the engineering - not the tradesmen]. Customers would be asking you to diagnose faults every day and you need to know what you are talking about.
    You would also need some business & marketing accumen [as with any business]
    I would recommend spending a year working in a motor factors if possible to see what are the main parts sold and it will possibly give you the experience the bank may require before giving you the lolly.

    Motor factors are all over the place now - going down the performace route may be safer even though it is a smaller niche market.
