Where did you read that? MCD and the official Slane Castle website have nothing. As far as I can tell the concert has not yet been granted its license.

    is Lord Henry selling out?
What happened to Slane - the greatest rock venue in Ireland

Last year was excellent - exactly what Slane should be - why the change?

I realise my comments are subjective but that's what Slane is known for and what it does best

I think he sold out a long time ago! He even let Robbie Williams perform at Slane! I know it was a great performance, but hes just such a muppet!

Well, I might, and I'd consider it further if they threw in a champagne lunch and a ticket to the VIP lounge!! :D

But seriously, I don't think Madonna would be great playing a festival but it looks like we're stuck with her. At least it saves me trying to choose between Slane and the Chillis in the Phoenix Park- no contest now!!

I heard that Madonna won't be playing slane cause the event takes place during some important jewish holiday. Don't know if it's true or not.
