Hurling is going to take this by a mile: it's a unique, exciting fast paced game. Wish I was half-decent at GAA sports, it's one sport I'd be very proud to be good at.

Of course the best game in the GAA is the one they play when the senior council decides how to word this seasons "you're not playing in my garden" announcement.

Has to be hurling. Football has become too much about physical strength and size of late and is rare that a game flows with any sort of rhythm. Hurling on the other hand is fast, exciting and skillful while still keeping a physical element which usually lies within the rules unlike the 'physical element' of football.

I can't really comment on handball as i've never played it but as far as watching it goes I find it quite boring.

Easily Hurling. Its one of the most skillful games in the world. Plus its has the speed and physical side to it that all sports need. I personally would love to see this sport get more worldwide recgonition and progress internationally. I know it would never reach the heights of soccer as its too skilled for the general lay public to pick up easily.

But I'd say the asians ie China etc would pick it up very quickly looking at the skills they have in Table Tennis etc.

    tough question...

Handball has a world appeal.. as it is played all over the world.

but it has to be hurling.

I don't come from a hurling county but I can't understand why people go on and on about how great a game hurling is 'cos it's so fast'. I hate it for the same reason, 'cos it's so fast'. Games do not have to be fast to be good. Look at ice hockey, it's fast like hurling, and like hurling it's s**te. Football is a much better game.

Aren't jokes meant to be funny?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,598 ✭✭✭Yavvy

no its was more like a half ass'ed attempt to flame or spam the thread, the reason I have come to this conclusion is because there is nobody on boards ( with the exception of ronaldo7 & co) stupid enough to believe that was an attempt at humour.

    joke n.
Something said or done to evoke laughter or amusement, especially an amusing story with a punch line.

    A mischievous trick; a prank.

An amusing or ludicrous incident or situation.

no im afraid it wasnt a joke, please stop your feeble attepts to flame this thread ( the very least you could do is work harder at flaming this thread)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,513 ✭✭✭Sleipnir

hard to believe you went off to dictionary.com to get the definition of the word 'joke' just for me.
Forget it, I always knew gaah heads didn't really have a sense of humour when it came to their sports.
It wasn't an attempt to flame but as they say "some people just don't get it"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,598 ✭✭✭Yavvy

Sleipnir your full of it . you tried to flame it didnt work, get over it.
I always knew gaah heads didn't really have a sense of humour
And this is proof you only came here to troll, If you dont like GAA suporters dont come on the forum.
but as they say "some people just don't get it"
How true , did it ever cross your mind that my reply to your stupid cricket comment might be joke. I was giving you a chance to see if you were a troll. Alas you are.

    Behave or leave.

    Thanks,
    Alan
