Does anyone know how to get WMA's to play in Apple iTunes for Windows?

Now before you ask, my preference is WMA's and I will not change them to another format.

Also have you noticed how there is a WMA icon in the itunes exe?! So if it doesn't work now maybe they will do it later.

you can't play them in itunes.
They may do it late, they may not.

on a similar topic, is there any way to play MPEG-4 AAC's (.mp4/.aac) in Winamp5? I use a few of them on my ipod with CD's ripped using iTunes, I find they're higher quality than MP3s, but iTunes isn't a patch on winamp.

mp4 audio??? r u talking about i-pod format songs???
ipod songs have a m4a extention as far as i can rememper never tried with win amp but got them to play in media player 9 by renaming them as mp4, however media player doesnt fully support mp4, and coul only play back a track by double clicking in explorer, ie u cant make a playlist or add to library, may work better with win amp id say, ****NB***** i just chked this in media player and the codec it uses is nero showtime from my full copy of nero 6, so if u dont have this u may need to find another codec, though as i say winamp will prob do a much better job than media player lol,

and as a side, i agree the itunes rip is far superier in sound quality to mp3 or wma, at the same bit rare and file size

Yeah MP4/AAC is the native format for ipods, along with MP3. I won't be ripping new CD's to AAC until there's Winamp support though!

iTunes encoded AAC files can be played on winamp with the help of a plugin http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=137828

Currently WMA files can not be played on iTunes, although this may be changed with the introduction of the HP branded iPod.

File Formats that can be supported by iTunes
MP3 (including VBR MP3)
Quicktime AAC (MPEG4 eg.. m4a)
Wav
AIFF
Ogg

pity the iPod itself doesn't support ogg vorbis.
