Someone stole my old Fry avatar (and I thought it was so original too

). I'm so used to recognising people by their avatars that I was looking at a post and thinking "I don't remember posting that" and then "oh wait that's not me, someone stole my avatar". Don't think anyone's using my current avatar.

that is Ping_Chow_Chi avatar and has been since i first joined boards (2001), i actually thought it was ping that was posting till i seen your name

i like the way some people have admitted to changing there avatar if they were 2nd to have it, this campaign wouldnt be here if the majority of boards users were like this!

unfortunately though we have been driven to this because they arent!

I accidentally stole someone's avatar not long after I joined (strat i think) so I changed it. Now I just use custom ones, hurrah.
I've seen one or two people with my old avatars and it confuses me sometimes ("I didn't post in this thread!")

Its all about quality, not quantity.

As you can see I have a Cutsom avatar, a picture I took myself. Before that I have had the bomb from bomberman and a couple of far side ones. Seen a couple of people with them but usually I spend time finding one that people didnt have. But sure, thats all behind me seeing as though I am a subscriber...

I had bender when I first came here but I noticed someone else using it. Im not sure which one of us had it first but I changed to be unique. Then I was using Dilbert but someone else started using it. Now hopefully im safe.

Q: whats the point in protesting about avatar theft if you are all changing your avatars to the same thing?

would it be easy/feasible to be able to search by avatar, so a newly registered user could see what the used Avatars are, and what the most frequently used Avatars are. Personally I'm going to avoid this hassle and join as a member when I get some money. You will be waiting a while yet though
