Hi Folks Im trying to boot up a Friends Lappy and im getting an error EMM386 Has detected error #ú5 in a application at memory address 00B8:D541. To Minimise the chance of data loss, EMM386 has halted your computer What does this mean

F8 at boot and step by step to see which app doing it skip past one each time.

have you run memmaker or installed anything or added / changed anything in the config.sys or autoexec recentely ?

when you find it Try removing the LH or loadhigh on auto exec lines or changing device high to device in config.sys
