Are we likely to see CR3 on NTL Digital soon?

Hi

Anyone know when we are likely to get updated to CR3 in Ireland? I see that it is starting to be rolled out in the UK from today.

When it happens will the interactive 'red' button actually work?

I'd say it's at least two years away, maybe more.

CR3 is the newest version of the software for the STBs. It is based on Liberate 1.3 which is supposed to have excellent interactive capabilities.

It has been discussed on www.nthellworld.co.uk and www.digitalspy.co.uk for ages.

Well, I don't know if this applies to anything, but ntl have increased their services from 147 to 161, but they haven't introduced any new channels. Perhaps this is because they are beginning to transmit interactive streams, to be introduced shortly?

CR3 is only being released this week to 2 areas in the UK on the Langley platform. From your post I would assume that the CR3 that you are talking about is from the Bromley one or from Telewest. CR3 has been worked on for the last year and half and is only now being released!

I've just noticed a 24 ad on Sky One that has MORE 24 and the red button in the top right corner.

Are we likely to see CR3 on NTL Digital soon?
